(US) Springfield 1884 Trapdoor

s/n 232703, 1873 chamber date, 1888 cartouche with strong P proofmark. Hard to improve upon -a benchmark gun where all others are judged. Front sight is missing, some deep handling marks on the belly of the stock as pictured. Recent mfg sling. Brilliant case colors with 99%+ of original deep blue remaining.
